CPI (ML) Red Star Resolutely Condemns the Assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh !
The shock assassination of Ismail Haniyeh amid Gaza cease-fire talks, even as the officially confirmed death toll of Palestinians from Zionist extermination since 7 October 2023 reaches 40000, is highly condemnable. Haniyeh who played a pivotal role in mainstreaming Hamas and leading it to victory in 2006 parliamentary election in Gaza and West Bank, has been Hamas's face in the international arena. Obviously, Haniyeh had always been the target of Zionists.
Since 2017, Haniyeh was in exile and safe in 'US - friendly' Qatar. But, the enemy effectively utilised the situation when he went to Tehran, Iran, as a guest to attend the inauguration of Iran's new President, Masoud Pezeshkian. Now the biggest casualty of Haniyeh assassination is the ongoing ceasefire talks, and obviously the masterminds behind the assassination intend to derail any peace-deal regarding Gaza. And more importantly, the emerging scenario has the potential to drag Iran directly in to war, thereby changing its present pattern.
Therefore, with the assassination of Haniyeh, the situation is now on the brink of an escalation in war engulfing the whole of West Asia with explosive ramifications. It is high time on the part of all anti-Zionist, anti-imperialist and democratic forces the world over to join with like minded forces upholding Palestine liberation in the entire Gulf countries, and unitedly come forward for kicking out Zionism and imperialism from West Asia.

الحزب الشيوعي الهندي (ML) يدين بشدة اغتيال زعيم حماس إسماعيل هنية!
إن اغتيال إسماعيل هنية وسط محادثات وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، حتى مع وصول حصيلة القتلى الفلسطينيين المؤكدة رسميًا من الإبادة الصهيونية منذ 7 أكتوبر 2023 إلى 40000، أمر يستحق الإدانة الشديدة. لقد كان هنية الذي لعب دورًا محوريًا في دمج حماس وقيادتها إلى النصر في الانتخابات البرلمانية عام 2006 في غزة والضفة الغربية، وجه حماس في الساحة الدولية. من الواضح أن هنية كان دائمًا هدفًا للصهاينة.
منذ عام 2017، كان هنية في المنفى وآمنًا في قطر "الصديقة للولايات المتحدة". لكن العدو استغل الموقف بشكل فعال عندما ذهب إلى طهران، إيران، كضيف لحضور تنصيب الرئيس الإيراني الجديد، مسعود بزشكيان. إن أكبر خسارة لاغتيال هنية هي محادثات وقف إطلاق النار الجارية، ومن الواضح أن العقول المدبرة وراء الاغتيال عازمة على إفشال أي اتفاق سلام بشأن غزة. والأهم من ذلك أن السيناريو الناشئ لديه القدرة على جر إيران مباشرة إلى الحرب، وبالتالي تغيير نمطها الحالي.
لذلك، ومع اغتيال هنية، أصبح الوضع الآن على وشك تصعيد الحرب التي تجتاح غرب آسيا بالكامل مع عواقب متفجرة. لقد حان الوقت من جانب جميع القوى المعادية للصهيونية والإمبريالية والديمقراطية في جميع أنحاء العالم للانضمام إلى القوى ذات التفكير المماثل التي تدافع عن تحرير فلسطين في جميع دول الخليج، والتقدم متحدين لطرد الصهيونية والإمبريالية من غرب آسيا.
