NUMSA Hlanganani Region leads political induction where shopstewards say

With over 400 members in attendance, the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa led a political induction for the Union’s Hlanganani Region on Friday 30 August. Comrades mobilised under the theme 'Mobilise, fight to achieve gender equity and change the economic structure. Not yet Uhuru!' with the event taking place during Women's Month where 9 August marks South Africa's National Women's Day.
The induction also included a presentation on the history of the Union, an overview of NUMSA's constitution, and a keynote address by the NUMSA General Secretary Irvin Jim.
🇻🇪The action highlighted the key theme of solidarity with Venezuela in the face of ongoing attacks by US imperialism and its allies. A message of support was given by the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to South Africa, Carlos Feo under the theme 'Defend Democracy and Sovereignty'. The ambassador's presentation served as a key educational session on the Bolivarian Revolution and why it is imperative for us to stand in solidarity with Venezuela and its process of socialist construction.

مع حضور أكثر من 400 عضو، قاد الاتحاد الوطني لعمال المعادن في جنوب أفريقيا حفلًا سياسيًا لمنطقة هلانجاني التابعة للاتحاد يوم الجمعة 30 أغسطس. حشد الرفاق تحت شعار "حشدوا، ناضلوا لتحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين وتغيير الهيكل الاقتصادي. ليس بعد أوهورو!" مع انعقاد الحدث خلال شهر المرأة حيث يصادف يوم 9 أغسطس اليوم الوطني للمرأة في جنوب أفريقيا.
تضمن الحفل أيضًا عرضًا تقديميًا عن تاريخ الاتحاد، ونظرة عامة على دستور اتحاد عمال المعادن الوطني، وخطابًا رئيسيًا للأمين العام لاتحاد عمال المعادن الوطني إيرفين جيم.
🇻🇪سلط الحدث الضوء على الموضوع الرئيسي للتضامن مع فنزويلا في مواجهة الهجمات المستمرة من قبل الإمبريالية الأمريكية وحلفائها. ألقى سفير جمهورية فنزويلا البوليفارية لدى جنوب أفريقيا، كارلوس فيو، رسالة دعم تحت عنوان "الدفاع عن الديمقراطية والسيادة". وكان عرض السفير بمثابة جلسة تعليمية رئيسية حول الثورة البوليفارية ولماذا من الضروري أن نقف متضامنين مع فنزويلا وعملية البناء الاشتراكي فيها.
