Demand for the Immediate Production of Comrade Bob Njagi, Aslam Longton, and Longton Jamil
The Communist Party of Kenya vehemently condemns the cowardly and sinister abductions of Comrades Bob Njagi, Aslam Longton, and Longton Jamil by the repressive Kenyan state. These comrades were forcibly taken on the 19th of August, 2024, and have been missing ever since. We hold the Kenyan government, led by William Ruto, fully accountable for their safety and demand their immediate and unconditional release, whether dead or alive.
Comrade Bob Njagi, a steadfast human rights defender and the Chairperson of the FreeKenya Movement, has tirelessly fought for constitutionalism, justice, and the rule of law. His abduction, alongside that of Comrades Aslam and Longton Jamil, is a direct attack on the people's struggle for freedom and democracy. The Kenyan state, by resorting to these heinous acts of enforced disappearances, has shown its true face as an oppressor, hell-bent on silencing dissent and crushing any resistance to its illegitimate rule.
The abductions are not isolated incidents. They are part of a broader pattern of state terror aimed at intimidating those who dare to stand up against the tyranny of Ruto's regime. We have seen this before—peaceful protests met with live bullets, human rights defenders framed and persecuted, and now, the brazen kidnapping of activists in broad daylight. This cannot and will not be tolerated.
We call upon all Kenyans to rise against this brutality. The abductions of our comrades are an affront to our collective dignity and freedom. We must stop these police abductions by any means necessary, and this begins with taking William Ruto out of power. The people must unite in solidarity and struggle to overthrow this regime that thrives on fear and oppression.
We demand that the Kenyan state produces Comrade Bob Njagi, Aslam Longton, and Longton Jamil immediately, whether they are dead or alive. The struggle for their release is the struggle for the soul of our nation. We will not rest until justice is served, and those responsible for these abductions are held accountable.
