Statement of the WPC about the plans of the new US administration on Palestine
The World Peace Council condemns strongly and rejects vehemently the statements of US president D.Trump in which he declared to “take over” the Palestinian Gaza strip and displace more than two million of Palestinians to neighbor and other countries. We are not caught by surprise having memory and knowledge of the actions of the same US president during his first term in the White House, when he shut down the PLO office in Washington D.C., when he stopped the financial support to UNRWA and when he declared Jerusalem the “eternal undivided capital of Israel” (moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to there), amongst others. The administration which succeeded him then did not take back any of those measures, on the contrary, we all witnessed the genocidal war and massacres of Israel against the Palestinian people with more than 45.000 killed, recently. Despite the agreed ceasefire for the Gaza strip, the Israeli army is continuously harassing and attacking Palestinian also in the West Bank whereas many hundreds have lost their lives, particularly at the refugee camps of Jenin and Tulcarem. The “plan” of D. Trump to move away the Palestinians from their land corresponds to the reactionary doctrine for “a people without land and a land without people” which the Zionist occupation regime and its army are applying since many decades. It is cynical and provocative; it constitutes a blatant and gross violation of international law and conventions. The WPC declares its fullhearted solidarity with the brave Palestinian people for its right to resist occupation and to fight for the liberation of their lands with the establishment of a free, viable and independent State of Palestine within the borders of pre-4th June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, with the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails and the right to return for all Palestinian refugees to their homes, according to the UN resolution 194. The solution of the Palestinian issue is a key-matter to the Peace in the Middle East and the Palestinian people can not and will not be used for the Imperialist and Zionist plans to exploit the raw material of the area and its real estate which is of high value for many multinational enterprises.

يدين المجلس العالمي للسلام بشدة ويرفض بقوة التصريحات التي أدلى بها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، والتي أعلن فيها عن نيته "الاستيلاء" على قطاع غزة الفلسطيني وتهجير أكثر من مليوني فلسطيني إلى الدول المجاورة ودول أخرى. لم نفاجأ بهذه التصريحات، إذ لدينا ذاكرة ومعرفة بالأفعال التي قام بها نفس الرئيس الأمريكي خلال ولايته الأولى في البيت الأبيض، عندما أغلق مكتب منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية في واشنطن العاصمة، وأوقف الدعم المالي لوكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا)، وعندما أعلن أن القدس هي "العاصمة الأبدية الموحدة لإسرائيل" ونقل السفارة الأمريكية من تل أبيب إليها، من بين إجراءات أخرى. أما الإدارة التي خلفته، فلم تتراجع عن أي من تلك الإجراءات، بل على العكس، شهدنا جميعًا الحرب الإبادية والمجازر التي ارتكبتها إسرائيل بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، والتي أسفرت عن استشهاد أكثر من 45,000 فلسطيني مؤخرًا. ورغم اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، لا يزال الجيش الإسرائيلي يواصل مضايقاته وهجماته على الفلسطينيين في الضفة الغربية، حيث فقد المئات حياتهم، خاصة في مخيمات اللاجئين في جنين وطولكرم.
إن "خطة" دونالد ترامب لتهجير الفلسطينيين من أرضهم تتماشى مع العقيدة الرجعية التي تروج لفكرة "أرض بلا شعب لشعب بلا أرض"، وهي العقيدة التي يطبقها الاحتلال الصهيوني وجيشه منذ عقود. هذه الخطة استفزازية وغير أخلاقية، وتشكل انتهاكًا صارخًا وجسيمًا للقانون الدولي والاتفاقيات الدولية.
يعلن المجلس العالمي للسلام تضامنه الكامل مع الشعب الفلسطيني الشجاع في حقه في مقاومة الاحتلال والنضال من أجل تحرير أرضه، وذلك عبر إقامة دولة فلسطين الحرة والقابلة للحياة والمستقلة ضمن حدود ما قبل 4 يونيو 1967، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، مع إطلاق سراح جميع الأسرى الفلسطينيين من السجون الإسرائيلية، وضمان حق عودة جميع اللاجئين الفلسطينيين إلى ديارهم، وفقًا لقرار الأمم المتحدة رقم 194.
إن حل القضية الفلسطينية هو مسألة جوهرية لتحقيق السلام في الشرق الأوسط، ولا يمكن استخدام الشعب الفلسطيني كأداة في المخططات الإمبريالية والصهيونية لاستغلال الموارد الطبيعية في المنطقة والعقارات ذات القيمة العالية التي تسعى إليها العديد من الشركات متعددة الجنسيات.
