Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba
Cuba strongly condemns the attacks launched by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Cuban government is following with deep concern the ongoing developments in the Middle East, and it strongly condemns the attacks carried out by Israel in the early hours of June 13, 2025, against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its threats to wage war, in flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law, including the principles of sovereignty and the prohibition of the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity of any state.
The aggressive policy of the State of Israel and its disgraceful, irresponsible actions can only continue thanks to the military, financial, logistical, and political support provided by the government of the United States. This further endangers regional and international stability and security, with potentially unforeseeable consequences for humanity.
Cuba reaffirms its solidarity with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, warns of the danger of further escalation and a broader explosion in the region, and calls on the international community—particularly the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly—to fulfill their fundamental responsibility to maintain international peace and security, and to put an immediate end to this aggression and to the impunity with which the Zionist entity acts.
The genocide against the Palestinian people must end as a central element of any peace effort.
We reiterate that peace in the Middle East requires a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, leading to the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Cuba condena enérgicamente los ataques perpetrados por Israel contra la República Islámica de Irán.
El gobierno cubano sigue con profunda preocupación los acontecimientos en curso en el Medio Oriente y condena enérgicamente los ataques lanzados por Israel en la madrugada del 13 de junio de 2025 contra la República Islámica de Irán, así como sus amenazas de guerra, en flagrante violación de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas y del derecho internacional, incluidos los principios de soberanía y de no amenaza o uso de la fuerza contra la integridad territorial de cualquier Estado.
La política agresiva del Estado de Israel y sus actos vergonzosos e irresponsables solo pueden sostenerse por el respaldo militar, financiero, logístico y político que le proporciona el gobierno de los Estados Unidos, lo cual pone en mayor riesgo la estabilidad y la seguridad regionales e internacionales, con consecuencias impredecibles para la humanidad.
Cuba reitera su solidaridad con el pueblo y el gobierno de la República Islámica de Irán, advierte sobre el peligro de una escalada aún mayor en la región y de una conflagración más amplia, y llama a la comunidad internacional, en particular al Consejo de Seguridad y a la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, a asumir su responsabilidad fundamental en la preservación de la paz y la seguridad internacionales, y a poner fin de manera inmediata a esta agresión y al comportamiento impune del ente sionista.
Debe cesar el genocidio contra el pueblo palestino como componente esencial.
Reiteramos que la paz en el Medio Oriente requiere una solución integral, justa y duradera al conflicto palestino-israelí, que conduzca al establecimiento de un Estado palestino independiente y soberano dentro de las fronteras anteriores a 1967, con Jerusalén Oriental como su capital.
