WE REJECT THE POSSIBLE YANKEE MILITARY INTERVENTION IN VENEZUELA: WE ARE WITH THE WORKERS AND THE PEOPLE
In the last few hours, the U.S. government has mobilized warships equipped with guided missile systems, nuclear submarines and reconnaissance aircraft towards the coasts of Venezuela. These vessels carry 4,500 troops, including 2,000 marines, and it has been announced that this number will be doubled. A military contingent of such magnitude makes it clear that U.S. imperialism would be preparing an armed intervention in Venezuela, which we strongly condemn. The crude justification put forward by President Donald Trump is that it would be about combating drug trafficking. Are nuclear submarines and missiles necessary for this? Obviously, these are absurd arguments, similar to those used on other occasions to cover up military campaigns against sovereign peoples and countries. Just remember what happened in 2003, when U.S. imperialism launched an intense propaganda campaign to convince the world that the Iraqi government possessed chemical and nuclear weapons of mass destruction that threatened humanity. Under that pretext they invaded the country, causing thousands of deaths. Years later they were forced to admit that such weapons never existed. Do they now intend to repeat that theater, this time with Venezuela as the stage?
Our Party categorically rejects the U.S. military mobilization in Caribbean waters and any attempt at invasion against Venezuela. That country is already a victim of interventionist policies applied by US imperialism, the United Kingdom and the European Union, which are expressed in blockades and economic sanctions, equally reprehensible.
We reaffirm our solidarity with the workers and people of Venezuela, and defend their inalienable right to self-determination. We call on the workers, youth and peoples of our country and the world to actively express their support for the heroic Venezuelan people.
Imperialism, go home!

نرفض التدخل العسكري الأميركي المحتمل في فنزويلا: نحن مع العمال والشعب
في الساعات الأخيرة، قام النظام الأميركي بتحريك بوارج حربية مجهزة بأنظمة صواريخ موجهة، وغواصات نووية، وطائرات استطلاع باتجاه السواحل الفنزويلية. وتحمل هذه القطع العسكرية 4,500 جندي، من بينهم 2,000 من مشاة البحرية، وقد أُعلن أن هذا العدد سيتضاعف. إن حشدًا عسكريًا بهذا الحجم يوضح أن الإمبريالية الأميركية تُعِدّ لتدخل مسلح في فنزويلا، وهو ما ندينه بشدة.
الذريعة الفجّة التي ساقها الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب هي أن الهدف هو "مكافحة تهريب المخدرات". لكن هل تُستخدم الغواصات النووية والصواريخ لهذا الغرض؟ من الواضح أن هذه مبررات سخيفة، شبيهة بتلك التي استُخدمت في مناسبات أخرى للتغطية على الحملات العسكرية ضد شعوب ودول ذات سيادة. يكفي أن نتذكر ما حدث عام 2003، حين شنّت الإمبريالية الأميركية حملة دعائية مكثفة لإقناع العالم بأن الحكومة العراقية تمتلك أسلحة كيميائية ونووية للدمار الشامل تهدد البشرية. وبذلك الذريعة غزوا العراق، ما تسبب في آلاف الضحايا. وبعد سنوات، اضطروا للاعتراف بأن تلك الأسلحة لم تكن موجودة أصلاً. فهل ينوون تكرار المسرحية ذاتها الآن، لكن على مسرح فنزويلا؟
إن حزبنا يرفض رفضًا قاطعًا الحشد العسكري الأميركي في مياه الكاريبي وأي محاولة غزو لفنزويلا. فهذا البلد ضحية أصلًا لسياسات التدخل التي تطبقها الإمبريالية الأميركية وبريطانيا والاتحاد الأوروبي، والتي تتجلى في الحصار والعقوبات الاقتصادية، وهي مدانة بالقدر نفسه.
نؤكد مجددًا تضامننا مع عمال وشعب فنزويلا، وندافع عن حقهم غير القابل للتصرف في تقرير مصيرهم. وندعو العمال والشباب والشعوب في بلدنا والعالم إلى التعبير الفعلي عن دعمهم للشعب الفنزويلي البطل.
الإمبريالية، ارحلي إلى الجحيم!
