The World Federation of Democratic Youth condemns the continues arrest of Comrade Omar Emil Awad, member of the Political Bureau of the Jordanian Communist Party and former leader in the Jordanian Democratic Youth Union, and Comrade Bahaa Alyan, in its political context, considering it a direct targeting of public freedoms and organized political activity, and a clear violation of the right of activists to expression and organization, within an approach based on restricting progressive forces and attempting to curb their role in expressing the interests of peoples and defending their causes.

كلٍّ من الرفيق الدكتور عمر إميل عواد، عضو المكتب السياسي في الحزب الشيوعي الأردني، والرفيق بهاء عليان، في سياقه السياسي، بوصفه استهدافًا مباشرًا للحريات العامة والعمل السياسي المنظم، وانتهاكًا واضحًا لحق المناضلين في التعبير والتنظيم، ضمن نهج قائم على التضييق على القوى التقدمية ومحاولة كبح دورها في التعبير عن مصالح الشعوب والدفاع عن قضاياها.
إنّ استهداف المناضلين والقوى التقدمية يشكّل جزءًا من سياسات أوسع تهدف إلى إضعاف الفعل السياسي وإقصاء الأصوات المعارضة، إلا أنّ هذه الممارسات لن تؤدي إلا إلى تعزيز التمسك بالنضال، حيث إنّ القمع لم يكن يومًا قادرًا على كسر إرادة القوى التي تناضل من أجل العدالة الاجتماعية والحرية والكرامة
La Federación Mundial de la Juventud Democrática condena la continua detención del camarada Omar Emil Awad, miembro del Buró Político del Partido Comunista Jordano y exdirigente de la Unión de la Juventud Democrática Jordana, y del camarada Bahaa Alyan, en su contexto político, considerándola un ataque directo a las libertades públicas y a la actividad política organizada, y una clara violación del derecho de los activistas a la expresión y a la organización, dentro de un enfoque basado en restringir a las fuerzas progresistas e intentar limitar su papel en la expresión de los intereses de los pueblos y la defensa de sus causas.
