احتجاجات أمام مقرات المحافظات في ولاية أوتار براديش ضد مقتل بحارة هنود على يد البحرية الأمريكية
دعت الأحزاب اليسارية الخمسة في الهند جميع وحداتها إلى تنظيم احتجاجات على مستوى البلاد ضد الهجوم الجبان الذي شنته البحرية الأمريكية على السفن التجارية المارة عبر مضيق هرمز، والذي أسفر عن مقتل ثلاثة بحارة هنود. ويُعد هذا الهجوم الثالث من نوعه الذي يستهدف سفنًا يعمل على متنها طاقم هندي.
واستجابةً لهذا النداء، قررت الأحزاب اليسارية في ولاية أوتار براديش تنظيم مظاهرات يوم 18 يونيو أمام مقرات المحافظات وتقديم مذكرات إلى رئيس الجمهورية. وبناءً على ذلك، نُظمت احتجاجات مشتركة في مقرات المحافظات المختلفة بالولاية، وتم تسليم مذكرات موجهة إلى رئيس الجمهورية.
وجاء في المذكرة المرسلة إلى رئيس الجمهورية عبر مسؤولي المحافظات أن هذه الإجراءات التي تتخذها الإدارة الأمريكية تتعارض مع ميثاق الأمم المتحدة ومع مبادئ حرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية. وأكدت المذكرة أن الولايات المتحدة تتصرف كـ«مجرم» أو «زعيم عصابة» يسعى إلى فرض هيمنته على العالم بأسره، وأن مثل هذا السلوك لا يمكن القبول به.
كما أشارت المذكرة إلى أن الحكومة المركزية بقيادة حزب بهاراتيا جاناتا (BJP) قد تخلت عن سياسة الهند الخارجية المستقلة، وأصبحت بمثابة «شريك أصغر» للولايات المتحدة، مما يمثل فشلاً ذريعاً في أداء واجباتها. وأضافت أن رد فعل الحكومة الضعيف وعجزها عن إلزام الولايات المتحدة بتقديم اعتذار يشكلان أحدث مثال على ذلك، وأن هذا الأمر يعد إهانة لسيادة الهند وكرامتها الوطنية.
وطالبت المذكرة الحكومة المركزية بضمان تقديم تعويضات مناسبة لعائلات البحارة الذين قُتلوا.

Protests Held at District Headquarters in Uttar Pradesh Against the Killing of Indian Sailors by the U.S. Navy
The five Left parties in India called upon all their units to organize nationwide protests against the cowardly attack carried out by the U.S. Navy on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, in which three Indian sailors were killed. This was the third such attack on ships crewed by Indian personnel.
In response to this call, the Left parties in Uttar Pradesh decided to hold demonstrations at district headquarters on June 18 and submit memoranda addressed to the President of India. Accordingly, joint protests were organized at district headquarters across the state, and memoranda were submitted to the President through the district authorities.
The memorandum stated that the actions of the U.S. administration are contrary to the United Nations Charter and the principles of free navigation in international waterways. It said that the United States is behaving like a “gangster” seeking to impose its dominance over the entire world, and that such conduct cannot be tolerated.
The memorandum further stated that the BJP-led central government has abandoned India’s independent foreign policy and has become a “junior partner” of the United States, thereby failing miserably in its duty. Its weak response and failure to compel the United States to issue an apology are the latest examples of this failure. The memorandum described this as an insult to India’s sovereignty and self-respect.
The memorandum also demanded that the central government ensure adequate compensation for the families of the sailors who were killed.
