Message from the Pan Africanism Today Youth Sector on the Celebration of International Youth Day

The Youth Sector of Pan Africanism Today extends its solidarity and greetings to the zealous working-class and young people around the globe who have been the subjects of imperialist and capitalist onslaught - the neoliberal economic policy has devastated the young people of Africa and the world and have proven that it has no solutions to the glaring challenges of young people. The Pan-African youth of our continent and our movements are constantly organising and working through the ruins of the past and the present towards challenging imperialism and capitalism, which have, in recent times, intensified the patronage of patriarchy, political unrest, Zionism, economic instability, and glaring marginalisation of the masses.
Today, we are not only acknowledging the valuable contributions of working-class youths in shaping society but also recognising the many obstacles they encounter. In such a context, we urge all young people to remain steadfast, united, and advance the fight against the various political, socioeconomic, and cultural challenges caused by capitalism that exist in every country, which thrives in the exploitation and oppression of the working class people. In this capacity, we look forward to the courageous and gallant youth of Africa moving beyond our analysis of the concrete conditions to organise the masses of our people to resist all the legacies of colonial domination and to build that egalitarian society that addresses the needs and aspirations of our people. As it has become abundantly clear, this decadent system and its ruling class can neither fix nor provide any viable solutions for the problems confronting humanity.
We, as working-class youths, recognise the shared and lived experiences of many hardships, such as growing unemployment, educational disparities, unaffordable housing, poor healthcare, access to land, food insecurity, racism, sexism, migration, and the brain drain that leaves our African continent. We firmly believe in the importance of addressing these challenges collectively and in unity. We recognise the fact that imperialism and capitalism are the root cause of our problems, which have infiltrated various aspects of our lives. Today, based on the manifestations in every corner of our world, we recognise that the working class and its youths across the globe are bearing the heaviest brunt of the capitalist crisis. Therefore, we are tasked with giving expression to the revolutionary, popular, and Pan-African projects of making visible the gains and struggles of our masses and exposing the class warfare in order to advance socialism forward.
On this year’s International Youth Day, we have exemplary experiences from our own people's movements and organisations that have started answering the question of how to challenge this deplorable system by constructing elements of the socialist future we envisage within the spaces where we organise. From Abahlali baseMjondolo’s young people in the struggle for land, housing and dignity in South Africa, to the youths of Kenya who are courageous in their articulation of the will of the Kenyan people, to the young people of Ghana, Zambia, Morocco and beyond who are in the struggle for socialism today.
As numerous African countries, such as Ghana, Botswana, Mozambique, and Mauritius, among others, go to polls this year, we call on young people to avoid and refrain from allowing themselves to become puppets and tools of violence. We encourage our youth to vote for policies that are at the heart of the working class, to advance policies that speak to improving their realities.
Today,
🔴We reaffirm our support and unwavering solidarity for the sovereignty of the peoples of Palestine, Western Sahara, Sudan, Congo, Swaziland, Haiti, Cuba, and Venezuela.
🔴We condemn the political persecution and killings of activists in Kenya, particularly young people, and elsewhere who are resisting the neo-liberal economic order and are demanding pro-worker and pro-peasant policies that are at the service of the working people - their demands are legitimate.
🔴We call on working-class youths and all young people to support the sovereignty and defend self-determination, against imperialist war and exploitation by transnational companies.
We call on all young people to act as a mass, not individuals.

يعرب قطاع الشباب في حركة بان أفريكانيزم توداي عن تضامنه وتحياته للطبقة العاملة المتحمسة والشباب في جميع أنحاء العالم الذين كانوا موضوعًا للهجوم الإمبريالي والرأسمالي - لقد دمرت السياسة الاقتصادية الليبرالية الجديدة شباب إفريقيا والعالم وأثبتت أنها لا تملك حلولاً للتحديات الصارخة التي يواجهها الشباب. إن شباب عموم إفريقيا في قارتنا وحركاتنا ينظمون ويعملون باستمرار من خلال أنقاض الماضي والحاضر من أجل تحدي الإمبريالية والرأسمالية، والتي أدت في الآونة الأخيرة إلى تكثيف رعاية النظام الأبوي والاضطرابات السياسية والصهيونية وعدم الاستقرار الاقتصادي والتهميش الصارخ للجماهير.
اليوم، لا نعترف فقط بالمساهمات القيمة التي قدمها شباب الطبقة العاملة في تشكيل المجتمع، بل ندرك أيضًا العقبات العديدة التي يواجهونها. وفي مثل هذا السياق، نحث جميع الشباب على البقاء ثابتين ومتحدين ومواصلة النضال ضد التحديات السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية المختلفة التي تسببها الرأسمالية الموجودة في كل بلد، والتي تزدهر في استغلال وقمع الطبقة العاملة. وبهذه الصفة، نتطلع إلى أن يتجاوز شباب أفريقيا الشجاع والشجاعة تحليلنا للظروف الملموسة لتنظيم جماهير شعبنا لمقاومة كل إرث الهيمنة الاستعمارية وبناء ذلك المجتمع المتساوي الذي يعالج احتياجات وتطلعات شعبنا. وكما أصبح من الواضح تمامًا، فإن هذا النظام المنحط وطبقته الحاكمة لا يمكنهما إصلاح أو تقديم أي حلول قابلة للتطبيق للمشاكل التي تواجه البشرية.
نحن، كشباب من الطبقة العاملة، ندرك التجارب المشتركة والمعاشة للعديد من المصاعب، مثل البطالة المتزايدة، والفوارق التعليمية، والإسكان الباهظ التكلفة، والرعاية الصحية الرديئة، والوصول إلى الأراضي، وانعدام الأمن الغذائي، والعنصرية، والتمييز على أساس الجنس، والهجرة، وهجرة الأدمغة التي تترك قارتنا الأفريقية. نحن نؤمن إيمانا راسخا بأهمية معالجة هذه التحديات بشكل جماعي وموحد. نحن ندرك حقيقة أن الإمبريالية والرأسمالية هما السبب الجذري لمشاكلنا، التي تسللت إلى جوانب مختلفة من حياتنا. اليوم، واستنادا إلى المظاهر في كل ركن من أركان عالمنا، ندرك أن الطبقة العاملة وشبابها في جميع أنحاء العالم يتحملون العبء الأثقل من الأزمة الرأسمالية. لذلك، تقع على عاتقنا مهمة التعبير عن المشاريع الثورية والشعبية والقومية الأفريقية لإبراز مكاسب ونضالات جماهيرنا وكشف الحرب الطبقية من أجل دفع الاشتراكية إلى الأمام.
في اليوم العالمي للشباب هذا العام، لدينا تجارب نموذجية من حركات ومنظمات شعبنا التي بدأت في الإجابة على سؤال كيفية تحدي هذا النظام المزري من خلال بناء عناصر المستقبل الاشتراكي الذي نتصوره داخل المساحات التي ننظم فيها. من شباب أباهلالي بيس مجوندولو في النضال من أجل الأرض والإسكان والكرامة في جنوب إفريقيا، إلى شباب كينيا الشجعان في التعبير عن إرادة الشعب الكيني، إلى شباب غانا وزامبيا والمغرب وخارجها الذين يخوضون النضال من أجل الاشتراكية اليوم.
مع توجه العديد من البلدان الأفريقية، مثل غانا وبوتسوانا وموزمبيق وموريشيوس، من بين بلدان أخرى، إلى صناديق الاقتراع هذا العام، ندعو الشباب إلى تجنب السماح لأنفسهم بأن يصبحوا دمى وأدوات للعنف. نحن نشجع شبابنا على التصويت لصالح السياسات التي تشكل جوهر الطبقة العاملة، لتعزيز السياسات التي تتحدث عن تحسين واقعهم.
اليوم،
🔴نؤكد دعمنا وتضامننا الثابت مع سيادة شعوب فلسطين والصحراء الغربية والسودان والكونغو وسوازيلاند وهايتي وكوبا وفنزويلا.
🔴ندين الاضطهاد السياسي وقتل الناشطين في كينيا، وخاصة الشباب، وفي أماكن أخرى الذين يقاومون النظام الاقتصادي النيوليبرالي ويطالبون بسياسات مؤيدة للعمال والفلاحين تخدم العمال - مطالبهم مشروعة.
🔴ندعو شباب الطبقة العاملة وجميع الشباب إلى دعم السيادة والدفاع عن تقرير المصير، ضد الحرب الإمبريالية والاستغلال من قبل الشركات العابرة للحدود الوطنية.
ندعو جميع الشباب إلى العمل ككتلة واحدة، وليس كأفراد.
